(Front page 8) First we melted the plasic covers of Nescafe. After it liquified we mixed the sawdust for five minutes and shaped it in a glass and finally inserted the thread. When we tried to light it, it did'nt last long; Trial 11, we melted the plastic covers. This time we did not mix the sawdust directly into the melted platic zovers instead we spread the sawdust on the banana leaves and put an amount of liquified plastic at the top. Then we put thread no. 20 and added another sawdust on top. In this second trial the plastic was very sticky and we were not able to mold it into a candle-like shape but it produced light; Trial 111, our problem was the formation of the liquified plastic and sawdust into a candle-like shape. Recalling back with the past experiences, we decided to put 80 mi. of kerosene to the plastic in liquifying it (idea from wax out of plastic and kerosene). Through this the plastic liquified faster and did'nt stick at the spoon. In this trial, we were able to mold the mixture into a candle-like shape. The author concluded that light from sawdust is economical and it is necessary for livelihood program. I am writing this column to encourage our athletes to strive harder and even do better than what our athletes have done during the WISA meet. Our athletes won 15 gold medals in the recently concluded WISA meet and we are extending our heartfelt congratulations to them in trying their best. It is not too late for our athletes who did not make it. They still have their chances in order to make up for the loss they have suffered. The pains and sorrows suffered by our athletes in the games are experiences where they can learn from their mistakes. An athlete must be tough to face the challenges if he is aspiring to get that gold. It is not too late, they must have lost today but they may win tomorrow. We are thanking our school administrator for supporting the training of our athletes. She has done a great part in our school athletic team's victory. We are extending our sincere appreciation to the coaches who also did their very best. We hope that our athletes will bring another honor to our school after the Integrated Meet. To those who are going to participate in the Integrated Meet-Good Luck! A reminder to our athletes: "Before a man can win, he must lose," The Inter-color meet of the faculty and staff was a sweeping success. The Vocational School Administrator said during the closing Ceremonies, "Your teachers are your models in sportsmanship. They played without any bickering, pinching, punching or harassing." Didn't they really? Letting the students act as referees, tournament officials, linesmen and scorers during the Inter-color meet is no joke at all. You may pay a high price tor towing your teacher. Get what I mean? Anyway, the faculty and staff really deserve a little time out most especially a little exercise-Look at them, 75% are either too thin or too stout! Goodbye friends, see you next issue. The White team headed by Mr. Lope Apelo and Mr. Gregorio, Sala plays against the Blue Team captained by Mr. Daryl Villanueva. Track events for built men and women highlighted the inter-color meet. Match the sports lingo with the game where it is used. A 1. fancy kick 2. surfeit services 3.
