under the heat of the sun. During the Intramurals '94, our batch had a share of the limelight. The intelligent, versatile and sports-minded Noel Tolentino, Jr. clinched the award as Mr. Intrams '94. He was also adjudged Best in Casual Wear and Best in Sports Wear. In ball games, our basketball team placed second. The Sophomore team ranked second in the general championship. A unanimous decision of the judges declared the beautiful lass, Jessica Sonza, the winner of the much coveted title Miss UN '94. Our contestants in the annual beauty contest set an unprecedented record by winning all the special and major awards. During the Math Olympiad held in Pavia National High School, our mathematician, Beulah Portillo, Allan Madarico and Sophia Beba triumphantly brought the bacon home by placing 3rd, 5th and 7th respectively. Lastly, our active girl scouts joined the Girl's Scouts Encampment in Camp Pasica, Dingle, Iloilo. They were Leah Tormon and Molina Modelo who brought 5 awards to our school. A Time of Countless Adventures, Wanderings and Achievements "He who gains wisdom loves his own life; he who maintains insight finds success." This proverb applies to our most fruitful year in high school, the third year. For the juniors, it is a blessing in disguise for we face a lot of problems but still we made it to the top. The talented 3-A students demonstrated their acting ability during the program highlighting the observance of Nutrition Month with the theme, "Buto at Ngipin Patibayin, Gatas Ating Inumin." The actors and actresses of the juniors were declared the champion in the skit contest. The essayists of the Juniors, Melina Modelo and Beulah Grace Portillo, asserted their literary superiority by topping the essay writing contest. The former won in Filipino category while the latter in English. Sophia Beba placed third in the Filipino category of the same contest. The artistic hands of 3-A students in the bulletin board display contest convinced the judges to award the gold medal to the juniors group. Our graphic artists, Noel Tolentino, Jr., Julius Ken Bacinillo, Kenneth Gil and Aldrin Acaba bested other contestants in on-the-spot poster making contest. Noel Tolentino, Jr. topped the contest. Rieza Velarde and Kenneth Gil clinched the first and second prizes, respectively, in the Nutri Quiz. Linggo ng Wika became a most awaited event when the Filipino department decided to conduct a search for Lakan and Lakambini ng Wika. The juniors' bet, Marc Justin Prieto was proclaimed Lakan ng Wika '95. Dennis Joseph Pueyo was adjudged as Lakan ng Bisayas. The poetic skills of Juvi Caballero gained recognition when she won third place in the slogan making contest. The nipa hut of the third year was adjudged second best in "bahay kubo" contest. However, in the parade contest, we retaliated by copping first place. Our Muslim costume gave us the honor. In September, the political fever once again gripped the studentry of the school. Rieza Velarde and Kenneth Gil made it to the top 15 in the senatorial race of the Student Government. The United Nation celebration, sponsored by the Social Studies department, is another enjoyable activity of the school. Jonah Bidaure won first place in flag identification contest while Noel Tolentino, Jr. won second in poster-making contest. Rieza Velarde topped the Quiz Bee contest while Beulah Portillo placed third in the same contest. The literary talent of Mary Can Sta. Rufina enabled her to place second in essay writing contest. Rieza Velarde ranked next to her. Juvi Caballero received a bronze medal in slogan making contest. To break the monotony of classroom activities, the 2-day sportsfest was held. In the sports competitions, the Juniors asserted their superiority. We became the champion in volleyball boys and girls, baseball, softball girls, sepak takraw and athletics boys and girls. Our male Gagers garnered the second place. Our Juniors team was declared the general champion during the Intramurals '95. Because of their aptitude for Science and Technology, Melina Modelo and Beulah Portillo were sent by the school to attend the Science Camp held in Capiz National High School in Roxas City. Every four years, the Science Department sponsors a Science Fair. During our local Science Fair, our batch won honors.
