(From page 7) In the preparation of the computer room, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school and the municipal government ex­tended financial assistance. The PTA pur­chased one air conditioning unit amounting to P16,000. The municipal government ap­propriated P75,000 for computer tables and window grills of the computer room. Part of the amount will be used for the installation of grills on the stairways going up the com­puter room so as to secure the room in the second floor of the Science Building. Victor S. According to Corazon Aguero, the project is the brainchild of lawyer Noel Servigon who conceived the idea when he was the Philippine consul to Austria. At present, Consul Servigon is re-assiged in the Office of the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila. The father of Consult Servigon is from Cabatuan but later resided in Molo, Iloilo City. "Dampug" is an angel personified usually by a small girl who will announce the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The "dampug" this year is Pearl Joy BerrneJo Pojas. She is 9 years old and the second of the four children of Jaime Candido Pojas and the former Pilar Bermejo of barangay Manguna, Cabatuan. If the tuition fee of the scholar is less than P3,500.00 the scholar can get the remaining amount. If the tuition fee is more than the fixed amount, the scholar has to pay the extra amount. For those scholars who will pursue Bachelor of Science in Physics or Bachelor of Science in Physics for Teachers, the monthly allowance is P3,500.00 At present, there are some 20' Cabatuananons working in Austria, most of whom are alumni of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School. They plan to increase the seed money of the cash awards through additional contributions or through sponsorship of fund-raising activities. The Cabatuananons in Austria, under the leadership of Consul Noel Servigon, hope to expand their project in the years to come to college scholarship for poor but academically deserving Cabatuananons. PEHM department, was named by the Iloilo GSP Council as program director of the en­campment. This year's provincial encampment of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines was hosted by the District of Cabatuan 11. To help insure the success of the hosting by Cabatuan and the participation of Girl Scouts from the town, the municipal government under the leadership of Mayor Eliseo C. She had been a consistent honor student. She finished her Bachelor of Secondary Education degree, major in Phys­ics at the West Visayas State University in Iloilo City. She graduated cum laude. Dur­ing her college days, she had been a scholar of the Department of Science and Technol­ogy-Science Education Institute. The board topnotcher comes from a fam­ily of intellectuals. Her two elder sisters graduated from CNCHS as class valedictorian. Four of her brothers, also graduates of the school, graduated with honors. Rose is a daughter of Benito Umadhay and the former Rosita Rosaldes. SENIOR CITIZENS ... (From Page 12) The free dental services were offered by Dr. Christine Ordoyo and Dr. Leticia Aguana. With the free medical-dental check-up was the free distribution of medicine. The senior citizens of the town partici­pated in the celebration of the town fiesta on September 10. The group held the corona­tion of the Queen and King of Senior Citi­zens on September 5, 1996 at the commu­nity stage at 3:00 p.m. The occasion as graced by the presence of Gov. Arthur Defensor. Crowned as Queen of the group was Mrs. Ciriaca L. Monegro. She was officially proclaimed by Iloilo Vice Gov. Derry Sonza. She was consorted by her husband Benjamin. Other members of the Royal Court were Princess Celsa Marcon consorted by her brother Adriano Marcon and Princess Estelita Caballero consorted by her husband Antonio. Mr. David Grana is the president of the municipal and provincial chapters of the Fed­eration of Senior Citizens Associations of the Philippines.
