THE GLOW, JULY-OCTOBER 1998 The Glow, July-October 1998. Official Publication of CNCHS - Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School Cabatuan, Iloilo, Panay Island, Philippines ~ r4 WIN.' ~ No: NOVEMBER 1998 Editorial Our Thanks And Appreciation For several years, Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School has been showered with philantrophic and benevolent acts of alumni, friends, and benefactors. It is heartwarming to note that lately CHCHS again became a recipient of a valuable donation -a Shelter for Rest and Study. The P210,000.-permanent structure adjacent to the school stage is "a gift of love for the students of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School" from the couple Jose B. Maroma Jr. and the former Amelita Decierto. According to the couple, the donation was made as an act of gratitude to their Alma Mater. Needless to say, the recent donation is very useful to the entire studentry of the school. As the name suggests, the permanent building will provide students another area where they can rest or study. The good ventilation of the building makes its atmosphere conducive to learning. The new school facility decongests the school libraries which cannot accommodate the big population of the school. With the acquisition of the new school facility, every student in school has the moral responsibility to take good care of it. The donors would be very happy if no vandalistic act will be done in the building. Proper use of the facility will enable the coming groups of students to avail of its services. With sincerest thanks and grateful appreciation, we acknowledge the valuable donation of Jose and Milette Maroma just as we always acknowledge and cherish other donations made in the past. Definitely the donation of the couple is an eloquent expression of their profound concern for the greater welfare of CHCHS and its studentry. We hope that other alumni of the school would follow their laudable philantrophy. Thank you very much, all the donors and benefactors of our school. We cherish your philantrophy and benevolence-Now and Forever. We in the school paper are happy that various sectors in the community are working hand in hand in propelling Cabatuan to greater progress and development. To all those who work hard to achieve the town's desired goals, we give our commendations. 1603/ Congratulations Mayor Eliseo C. Tobias! The people of Cabatuan salutes Hon. Eliseo C. These less fortunate brothers and sisters of ours have their own canteen beside the municipal building. This canteen gives them their source of income thus proving to all and sundry that disability is not a hindrance to earn a living. AtDovi6igot) Moreover, the municipality is a recipient of the I lome For The Girls building amounting to almost P3M. This is built on the grounds of Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital. l&OZJ6J&oz Our heartfelt thanks and grateful appreciation to Cong. Manuel Parcon and Gov. Vencer and the Parent-Teacher Association of the school led by Mr. Pio Lujan for the all-out support they offered the school. It is our pervent hope that the PTA and the administration will forever continue to work together as indispensable partners in accelerating progress and development of the school. Standing proud and tall in our school is a Shelter for Rest and Study donated by Engr. and Mrs. Jose Maroma Jr. as a gift of love to the students and the school. Another donation are the three permanent bulletin boards by Mr. and Mrs. Rolando Ropero which have given us convenience in disseminating information within the campus.
