2nd Company to 1st Lieutenant Kunio Yamamoto, and the 3rd Company to 1st Lieutenant Kametaro Hamanaka. The companies then gathered all the available food supplies in the area.

By June 25th, the main defenses on the northeasthern slope of Mount Singit were completed and subsequent guerrilla raids were repulsed with but few losses to the defenders.

Phamplets dealing with terms of the surrender were forwarded by battalion headquarters on August 31st and the next day the guard received an official surrender order and, at 0600 on September the 3rd, it proceeded to Lambunao where it joined the 170th Battalion to surrender to the Americans on the 4th. The members were then taken to the war enclosure at the Santa Barbara Airfield.
